Advocating Personal Growth and Community Inclusion for All We Serve PROGRAMS
Our Food Service workers are responsible for food preparation, dishwashing, bussing and waiting on tables in our restaurant. The "Dining Room" is open to the public Monday - Friday, 11:30 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. Direct Line (860) 584-0043 The Unique Boutique features second-hand clothing which is laundered, ticketed and displayed by our workers. The store is open for business Monday - Friday, 9:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.


Workers in the Greenhouse are responsible for propagating, transplanting, watering, and maintaining a wide selection of plants. In addition they plant and maintain the flower and vegetable gardens at Bristol ARC. The Growing Center is open to the public Monday - Friday, 9:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.

Workers in our Candy Program make a large assortment of lollipops, filled candy, holiday candy and jams. These items are sold here at the Bristol ARC and at local stores. We also take orders for special occasions.

Our Supported Employment Program is designed to assist adults with developmental disabilities in locating and securing community jobs at competitive wages. Some of our clients' employers include Pizza Hut, Bristol Hospital, TJ Maxx and Stop and Shop.

Our Yard Service business specializes in mowing, raking and general yard maintenance. Off season, our crew constructs a line of fine crafted wood products, including fences, trellises, log boxes, and planters.

Our Work Activity Program provides our clients with training in vocational and daily living skills. It also affords them opportunities for community involvement.

Our Citizen Advocacy Program provides support through friendship. Volunteer advocates befriend a person with developmental disabilities in a one-to-one relationship, providing emotional and practical support and guidance.

Our Day Support Options Program provides opportunities for participants to engage in a variety of social, recreational, and leisure activities. Community involvement is a key component. The Bristol ARC's Residential Services include group home living and supervised apartments. The program focuses on achieving greater independence in activities, daily living, and community involvement.
