Individuals in the “Activity Room” enjoy many daily activities that provide quality programming to meet each individual’s needs.  There is great participation in the “Current Events” board. Everyone especially loves when we are casting votes for the “Election” or picking their favorite “American Idol”.  Our sports fans are so dedicated to their teams, they love predicting the winners!  During the Beijing Olympics we had a fun time learning about the host country China and held our own in-house Olympics, including a ring toss and penny pitch.

Computer games and activities, Sign language Class, and Reading Group are offered weekly. Music video’s to promote movement are a big hit. Celebrating all Holidays from around the world lets us explore different cultures. Science experiments bring everyone around the activity table.

Arts and crafts, handwriting practice, and special projects such as, painting Christmas cards from our agency to friends of Bristol Adult Resource Center. A small group is assembled daily to go on community outings.  Weekly trips include delivering our products to various retail outlets.  Shopping for program supplies, can recycling at a redemption center, and visiting friends at our Lake Avenue program while enjoying the therapeutic benefits of the multi-sensory room.  Weather permitting, going to Sessions Woods for nature walks or area parks for picnic lunches, and Robertson Airport to watch the planes take off or land.
