NEWS RELEASE

Francine M. Pangaro, Ph.D, joined Bristol Adult Resource Center as its Executive Director on June 2, 2008. Fran’s background and person-centered approach to programming are a natural fit with the Bristol Adult Resource Center mission of “Advocating Personal Growth and Community Inclusion for All We Serve”.

Dr. Pangaro’s qualifications include executive leadership, policy development, IFS waiver, funding expertise and CARF accreditation oversight. She has extensive experience in the non-profit sector, including twelve years as an Executive Director.

Fran began working in this field in special education as a school-to-work transition specialist. She worked in vocational services for the disabled prior to accepting her first position as Executive Director in 1996 for Able Supported Living in Rocky Hill, CT.

Dr. Pangaro’s experience also includes sole responsibility for fiscal management with agency budgets totaling $10,000,000. She has also developed and operated retail locations for other non-profit providers in Connecticut.

Fran has worked in the greater Hartford area and has developed strong relationships with all regulatory agencies that serve non-profit organizations. With these relationships, her qualifications and experience, Fran will guide Bristol Adult Resource Center into the future.
